COSGC Undergraduate Symposium Submission Process

 

1.  Read and Understand Symposium Rules.

2.  Email your Abstract to Bernadette Garcia at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with "[SG Symposium Paper] <PaperTitle>" in the subject line (if poster "[SG Symposium Poster]<PosterTitle>).  If you don't receive a receipt response in 3-business days, call to make sure it was received (303-492-3141).  Here are some hints if you have not written an abstract before.  

An abstract should be a paragraph or two covering the following main points.   No more than one page.  If your research is currently in progress, you might not have the final results and conclusions completed and if this is the case, discuss your anticipated results and conclusions.

 

Paper (or Poster) Title -Short title

Authors -Listing of Authors, institution affiliation, and email address of all authors.

Motivation- Why do we care about the problem?

Problem statement- What problem are you trying to solve?

Approach- How will you go about solving the problem?

Result- What do you hope to find?

Conclusions- What are the anticipated implications of your result.

4.  Submit your Presentation

Please also bring a copy on USB drive and submit it during registration at 8:15am before the official start of the Symposium.  Your presentation along with your paper will be included in the official proceedings.

 

5. Submit your Poster

     5a) Submit a digital copy of the poster "[SG Symposium Poster] <Poster Title>" In the subject line to Bernadette Garcia at This email address is being protected from spambots.      5b) Bring the printed poster the day of the Symposium. Posters will be displayed on easles or walls.  32" x 40" Foam Board will be provided for easle display. Mounting supplies will be availalbe (clips and tape).  If your poster exceeds this size, you may bring your own board.
